Frequently asked questions
What bike for a 10-year-old child?
At age 10, average height is around 133 cm. We generally recommend 24" wheels, suited for the 125-140 cm range. Check your child's actual height before ordering.
Are 24" wheels right at age 10?
Age alone is not enough. A 10-year-old can be shorter or taller than average. If their height is outside 125-140 cm, pick the size from our guide by centimetres, not years.
My 10-year-old is taller than their peers. What should I do?
If they exceed 140 cm, consider wheels larger than 24". If they are under 125 cm, a smaller size will give more control. Height beats age when choosing a bike.
What gear do you recommend for a 10-year-old?
A properly sized helmet, gloves and knee pads for first rides. Check brakes and tyre pressure before every outing. At age 10, adult supervision still matters in traffic and on new trails.
