Whistle launches the second generation of bikes with AVINOX!

For those who missed the first wave of bikes with Avinox M2S from Whistle, don't lose hope because the second wave has just been launched, featuring both M2S and M2 models.

You can find them by applying a simple .7 filter in the BIKEVERSE store:

Whistle second generation with Avinox M2 .7 series on bikeverse

If in the first generation with Avinox M2, Whistle included only carbon and mixed frames: carbon Alu (with Alu being just the rear suspension triangle) in configurations, in the second generation they also offer full Alu frames, complemented with Avinox M2 (not M2S), with the price reaching 20,000 lei for a bike with Avinox M2, almost 4,000 Euros, below the champion from April, Crussis ONE-Full 11.11 declared in the study from the article 97 bikes with Avinox M2!

If we were to compare apples to apples or, more technically, with a similar model, we should choose the Crussis model with an 800 Ah battery like the Whistle RA4.7, then the difference becomes greater in favor of Whistle... Congratulations to those at Whistle who manage to offer such a powerful bike to riders, "Made in Italy".

In fact, all models in the range are very well positioned. Have you noticed the model with Ohlins, Whistle AXR C9.7?

Available in October in all 3 sizes:

Now let's decipher the codes together, because from the name we immediately learn a few essential things about the bike, frame, and motor. Then, with a simple glance at the intuitive menu with BIKEVERSE symbols, we find out other basic things like suspension travel, motor power and maximum torque, battery capacity, charger type (which matters when you're in a hurry, right? 12A vs 4A - three times more, three times faster):

AX stands for Avinox, R probably stands for Race, as they are really powerful.

A means full Aluminum frame;

CA means mixed Carbon - Aluminum frame;

C means full carbon.

Models with Avinox M2 motor (1100 W, 125 Nm)

The first model in the range: Whistle AXR RA4.7

Electric bike Whistle AXR RA4.7 · Enduro: All Mountain on bikeverse

With a RockShox Deluxe shock, Debon Air, a Suntour XCR 36X air fork with a travel of 160 mm, Shimano XT 12-speed derailleur, Shimano BR-MT520 brakes with 4 ceramic pistons (yes, they are not Deore, SLX, or XT but they do their job, well chosen for an entry-level model) and with a rear travel of 160 mm, Whistle AXR RA4.7 is an ideal companion for Enduro trails, no matter how difficult.

If you don't like the intense blue color, even though it's summer and reminds us of the sea, you have the option of a discreet green on a white background, well, silver/green.

Another advantage of Whistle is that the entire range uses the same frame geometry of 160 mm, whether it's Alu, a mix of Alu and Carbon, or just Carbon. So don't look for rear travel on each model, they all have 160 mm.

The next model in the range, Whistle AXR RA5.7

Electric bike Whistle AXR RA5.7 · Enduro: All Mountain

Available in the same colors of intense blue and light green as its smaller brother, it comes with a RockShox Psylo Silver RC eMTB fork, Solo Air, 29", Travel 160 mm.

The first model in the range with a Toray T700 Carbon frame: Whistle AXR RC6.7

Electric bike Whistle AXR RC6.7 · Enduro: All Mountain

The suspensions are the same as on Whistle AXR RA5.7 but the transmission is SRAM S1000 Eagle, 12 speeds, brakes are still Shimano with 4 pistons.

Models with Avinox M2S motor (1300 W, 150 Nm)

From here on, we no longer have R in front, we are talking about maximum power and torque, 1300 W and 150 Nm.

Whistle AXR CA5.7 comes with a Toray T700 Carbon frame and an Alu rear triangle. The suspensions are the same as on Whistle AXR RA5.7 and Whistle AXR RC6.7, the transmission is Shimano XT, brakes are Shimano with 4 pistons.

We also have the black/silver color option.

After the Carbon Alu mix, let's move on to the first full carbon model in the range:

Whistle AXR C6.7

The shock and brakes are retained, but the fork becomes a RockShox DOMAIN Gold RC and it returns to the Shimano XT transmission.

Whistle AXR C7.7 offers the alternative of a SRAM S1000 Eagle transmission, keeping the other elements from C6.7.

Whistle AXR C8.7 begins to have heavier components, for those who will push them harder on trails.

The fork becomes a RockShox ZEB RC eMTB, Debon Air+, with 38 mm stanchions and the shock is a RockShox Super Deluxe, Debon Air Progressive.

The transmission is XT, the wireless version, Di2.

And the brakes are still with 4 ceramic pistons but from the XT range.

The model is available only in sizes 44 and 48, which correspond to heights of 1.65 - 1.75 m and 1.75 - 1.80 m.

The next one is the Ohlins variant presented at the beginning, Whistle AXR C9.7.

The flagship model is Whistle AXR C10.7 equipped with everything a high-performance rider would desire.

Model Summary and Prices

Price range: 20,000 - 45,000

Forks: Suntour on one model and Rockshox, Fox, and Ohlins on the rest.

Shocks: RockShox Deluxe, Debon Air is present on 6 out of 9 models, the first 3 in the range having Fox 38 Float Factory eMTB+, Air, GRIP X2, Ohlins TTX2Air m2, and RockShox Super Deluxe, Debon Air Progressive.

Transmissions are split between Shimano XT with cable or wireless and Sram S1000 Eagle AXS T-Type, Sram GX Eagle AXS T-Type.

All brakes are with 4 pistons: Shimano BR-MT420, BR-MT520, XT BR-M8220

As we have seen from the review of the new Whistle bike range with Avinox M2 and M2S systems, the price of a bike reflects the type of frame (Carbon, Carbon - Alu, Alu only) and the value of the components plus the overall brand that inspires confidence.

Aside from the AVINOX M2 or M2S electric system, the range is designed to cover more rider preferences, being expanded to 9 models compared to the previous generation which had only 4, which few lucky ones had the chance to catch and own.

The batteries remain at 800 Ah in all configurations as does the frame geometry which ensures a rear travel of 160 mm.

Let's talk about availability

As with Commencal, if we want a bike with AVINOX NOW, we have a good chance of not finding it in stock because they are in high demand, selling straight from the factory or from the truck as they say, so the only option is to reserve it at BIKEVERSE and implicitly with the manufacturer, then wait a month, two, or three to receive it, just as I did when I wanted a Commencal Supreme DH right after its launch.

How do bike factories work? 🤔

A number of models are produced only for a few months each year, usually between April - May and September - October at the latest.

That's why you might see 2026 or even 2027 models that no longer have certain sizes available at this moment, even in the middle of the season because they will not be produced this year, being all ordered and allocated.

Let's say I want an electric bike model now, AXR C10.7 with AVINOX M2S motor. We see on BIKEVERSE that for sizes 40 and 44 we will need to pre-order to receive it in August (more precisely towards the end at worst case early September).

But if we want size 48, the most sought after by riders between 1.75 and 1.90 m tall, we will see that we will only be able to receive it next year, around March...

Recommendation: choose the model you need based on the desired performance and budget, then make a reservation if you want to have it, to ride it this season.

40: 1.55 m - 1.65 m

44: 1.65 - 1.75 m

48: 1.75 - 1.90 m

Pre-ordered, it will be ordered and allocated at the factory and we will deliver them exactly in the order of reservations received at BIKEVERSE.

For Whistle bikes ordered on BIKEVERSE, you can also benefit from other advantages such as up to 12 interest-free installments at banks offered by PayU, during promotional periods or through installments offered by TBI.

For those who do not want just the latest model of electric bike with AVINOX M2, there are dozens of other types of Whistle bikes with Bosch and OLI systems available, with delivery in a week.

If you don't necessarily want a 2026 or 2027 model, in the Outlet section there are Whistle and Atala models, not only for MTB, from previous years, with very interesting configurations:
